Sam Doocy, from left, Ragan Pope, Ryan Lawrence and Danny Chapman, all from Georgetown, caught this scalloped hammerhead shark. They fished aboard the New Pelican with Capt. Clint Clark out of Deep Sea Headquarters on Saturday, Aug. 7. The shark weighed 230 pounds, just 23 pounds shy of the state record.
