A 56-hour trip on the Scat Cat out of Fisherman’s Wharf the past week yielded catches of 148 blackfin tuna. Keith Blachly of Cleburne stands next to an 83.5-pound wahoo that he caught while on a 60-hour trip aboard the Dolphin Express. The boat got back to the dock in Port Aransas on Wednesday, Feb. 21. Blachly’s fish appeared to be the largest of the 109 wahoo hauled in on the trip.

TPWD invites anglers to take part in recognition program

Anglers throughout Texas established fishing records through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s (TPWD) Angler Recognition Program ( ARP) in 2023, according to a news release from TPWD on Friday, Feb. 23.
