SandFest 2024: No RV parking spaces in lots at this event

With the 2024 edition of Texas SandFest a little less than a month away, folks need to take note of an important change that organizers have made to this year’s festival.

Many people bring their RVs to the beach to camp during the events.

This year there will be no designated parking spaces for RVs at the SandFest grounds.

RVs may be parked on the beach along the bollards, but not in the festival parking areas.

All vehicles must be parked nose-in or tail-in only. Be aware that there are no RV hookups on the beach.

Also, there is a three-day limit to camp on the beach in Port Aransas.

Beach parking permits must be displayed on any motorized vehicle.

The permits can be purchased for $12 at the Family Center IGA, any Stripes location, The Texan or the Port Aransas Tourism Bureau and Chamber of Commerce.

Organizers said an alternative for RV owners would be to park in the county park area, from the jetties to the Horace Caldwell Pier, in the I.B. Magee Beach Park Jr. campsite, or at any RV park in Port Aransas. It is up to individuals to contact RV parks to make reservations for any of those alternatives.
