Newly renovated

Folks gather at the newly renovated Patton Center at the University of Texas Marine Science Institute on Wednesday, Sept. 21. They were there to register for the 14th annual Texas Bays and Estuaries Meeting, which brought together scientists who shared their research on Texas coastal ecosystems. About 130 people from Texas universities, local organizations and state agencies took part. While the Patton Center hosted the event, the facility won’t open to the general public until sometime in October, according to an institute spokesman. No specific date has been announced.
