Municipal offices to close Monday for Presidents Day


Employees at City Hall and other municipal offices will get a three-day weekend when the offices are closed in observance of Presidents Day on Monday, Feb. 15.

City of Port Aransas business offices and Municipal Court will be closed on Presidents Day.

Police, EMS and the fire department personnel will be on duty; however, administrative offices will be closed.

The Port Aransas Community Park pool and facility offices will be closed.

The Dennis Dreyer Municipal Harbor office will be closed on Presidents Day.

The William R. “Bill” Ellis Memorial Library will close at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, in observance of Presidents Day. The library will be closed on Saturday, Feb. 13. It will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

The City Collection Station (commonly known as the Dump) will be closed on Monday, Feb. 15. Normal hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

Sanitation service will not be delayed and will follow its normal pickup schedule on Presidents Day.

Meals on Wheels will be delivered as scheduled.

The RTA trolley and the Flexi-B service will operate normally. Reservations for the Flexi-B for Monday, Feb. 15 and Tuesday, Feb. 16, must be made before 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12.

All city offices will resume normal schedules on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

Offices of the Nueces County Water Control and Improvement District No. 4 will be closed on Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 15. Normal operating hours will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

For any water leaks or other water emergencies, call (361) 749-5201 and leave a message. On-call personnel will contact you.

The water district off ice continues to be closed to the public due to COVID-19 safety precautions. Office personnel can be contacted via the phone number previously listed or via email at info@ncwcid4.org.
