Marlins playoff opponent set, warm-up game time change

Two pieces of breaking news just came down for Marlins fans.

One: Tomorrow’s playoff warm-up game for the Port Aransas High School boys’ basketball team has been moved from 6 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The game is set to be played in Vanderbilt, between Victoria and Bay City, where the Marlins will face Industrial, a Class 3A school that finished tied atop its district this season.

Two: The Marlins will open the Class 2A state playoffs in a bi-district round game against Louise, the fourth-place team from Class 2A District 29, on Tuesday, Feb. 25.

Tip-off for the playoff game is slated for 7 p.m. in Bloomington, near Victoria.

Playoff results can be found on the South Jetty’s website and Facebook page.
