A reminder to veterans in Port Aransas: a free drive-thru food distribution is set for Thursday, April 11.
The drive-thru will be held at the Corpus Christi West Point VA Clinic, beginning at 9 a.m. until supplies are exhausted.
Veterans must be enrolled in health care at the VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System and present a valid VA identification card to confirm their veteran status.
Veterans will be asked to remain in their vehicles while the VA staff verify eligibility. Volunteers will place the food items in the trunks of the veterans’ vehicles.
The clinic is located at 925 S. Padre Island Drive.
