FISHING REPORT

Variety caught all week


Fishing conditions have been favorable this week for a nice variety of fish caught by anglers fishing offshore and in the bays. Offshore, anglers have caught amberjack, ling, kingfish, dorado, wahoo, barracuda, state water red snapper, vermilion, lane and mangrove snapper and shark. In the bays, fishermen have caught redfish, drum, speckled and sand trout. From the jetties, drum, redfish, shark and gafftop have been reeled in.

said anglers fishing off the pier have been reeling in trout, drum, redfish, and blacktip shark.

Scott Garrison at Deep Sea Headquarters

reported kingfish, ling, amberjack, dorado, vermilion snapper and shark have been caught from offshore boats. Bay guides have been bringing back redfish, drum and speckled trout.

MaryAnn Heimann at Offshore Adventures

said dorado, barracuda, wahoo, kingfish, blacktip shark, mangrove and lane snapper have been coming back with fishermen from offshore trips. Anglers fishing the bays have reported catches of speckled and sand trout and drum. Heimann said they have also been catching limits of redfish from the Aransas Channel.

offshore boats have been returning to the dock with amberjack, kingfish, ling and state water red snapper. Bay anglers have been bagging redfish, drum and speckled trout while those fishing the jetties have caught redfish, shark and gafftop.

John McNatt at Fisherman’s Wharf
reported amberjack, kingfish, dorado, ling and lots of vermilion snapper caught offshore this past week. Bay fishermen have caught drum, redfish and a few trout. Jetty anglers have hooked drum and redfish.
