A banquet to kick off the spring sports season will be held Wednesday, Feb. 28.
A backup date of Monday, March 5, has been set in the event the Lady Marlin basketball team advances to the state tournament.
In either case, the banquet will be at 6:30 p.m. upstairs at Port Aransas High School.
Hot dogs and chips will be served courtesy of the Marlin Athletic Booster Club, and parents of athletes are asked to supply desserts.
Parents who would like to volunteer to help with cooking and serving at the banquet are asked to call Karen Collins at 749-7878.
Spring sports include high school track coached by Steve Reaves, high school softball coached by Karen Hall, high school baseball coached by Brian Flack, middle and high school tennis coached by Piper Boies, and middle school track coached by Javier Mendoza.
