Texas SandFest is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission of supporting local nonprofit organizations and giving scholarships to graduating Port Aransas High School seniors. In 2023, the organization gave out a record $463,500 to 20 Port Aransas and area non-profits from the proceeds of the festival.
