Limits caught
Robert and Victoria Waight of Port Aransas had a great day on the water on Thursday, Sept. 25. They caught limits of redfish, black drum and speckled trout fishing the back side of Mustang Island. They were fishing with guide Capt. Dillo.
Tuna catch
Benjamin Garza, 13, of Boerne, caught this 49-pound yellowfin tuna on a 36-hour trip aboard the La Pesca. The trip returned on Saturday, Sept. 27. The captains were Chris Moerbe and Walker Griffin out of Dolphin Dock.
Big amberjack
On Friday, Sept. 19, Capt. Michael Davis holds this 89-pound amberjack caught on the first 56-hour tuna trip of the season out of Dolphin Dock. Amberjack season closed on Saturday, Sept. 27. Anglers aboard the Dolphin Express caught the limit of amberjack, along with 25 grouper and yellowfin tuna. Also on the trip was Capt. Walker Griffin.
