First nest

The first Kemp’s ridley turtle nest of the season on Mustang Island was discovered Sunday, April 21, near Marker 96/97 by a person driving by. Moriah Tyroch, ARK (Amos Rehabilitation Keep) animal rehabilitator and turtle patroller reaches down into the nest to retrieve 83 eggs.
