As part of nationwide observances, the U.S. Postal Service in Port Aransas will suspend regular mail deliveries, retail services and administrative office activity on Thursday, Jan. 9.
A National Day of Observance has been declared to honor former President Jimmy Carter, who died on Dec. 29.
This week’s edition of the South Jetty newspaper will be delivered to mailboxes on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
Regular post office operations will resume on Friday, Jan. 10.
