Police have released the name of a 21-year-old woman who was killed in a traffic accident on State Highway 361 in Port Aransas on the night of Friday, Aug. 15.
Halie Renae Johnson of Corpus Christi died in the wreck, according to James Stokes, chief of the Port Aransas Police Department.
The collision occurred about 10 p.m. in the 4900 block of State Highway 361.
Johnson was driving a 2024 Volkswagen Taos. The other vehicle, a 2011 Chevrolet pickup truck, was driven by a 53-year-old Corpus Christi man, police said.
The man was severely injured and was taken to a hospital, Stokes said.
