The Port Aransas City Council gave City Manager David Parsons high marks on his annual evaluation during the council meeting Thursday, April 17.

“Once again, the council has given him very strong marks and reviews, and we’re very happy and pleased with his performance,” said Mayor Wendy Moore. “His numerical scores are within fractions of the previous two years, which were very good, and so we were very pleased that he continues to do a great job for the city.”

Moore also recognized Parsons for his 20 years of working for the City of Port Aransas.

“I do think it’s a huge accomplishment for anybody to work anywhere for 20 years, but especially (as a) city manager,” she said. “So, thank you. Thank you for your service.”

Parsons was hired in 2005 as a planning and projects manager for the city.

He was made city manager in 2013 after the previous manager, Robert Bradshaw, left in October 2012. Parsons was deputy city manager under Bradshaw.
