Ticketing for not having beach parking permits generally has risen over the past several years, and it soon could increase even more because the City of Port Aransas just added a new beach parking enforcement officer position. Road work to cause delays on Harbor Island next two weeks

Motorists should expect delays while driving between Port Aransas and Aransas Pass for the next two weeks. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has a paving operation underway on State Highway 361 on Harbor Island from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday. Tree giveaway for residents set Tuesday

Community members can pick up free trees or shrubs for their landscapes on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
