Volunteers hit all-time high at Port Aransas fire department



The Port Aransas Volunteer Fire Department has reported the highest number of volunteers in seven years with a total of 28 members. Assistant Fire Chief Vinton James says the increase in numbers began in late 2023. As with many volunteer organizations, the numbers go up and down.
