Game Night on tap at schools

Parents are invited to test their game-playing skills against those of their kids and other elementary- and middle school students at Game Night.

“We want families to come out and play games with all the students, whether it be Candy Land, Uno or Risk,” said Cyndi Christenson of the sponsoring Port Aransas ISD PTO. “We will be playing board games, dominoes and card games.”

Game Night will be held at the Brundrett Middle School cafeteria from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6.

All students and parents from BMS and from Olsen Elementary School are invited to attend and bring their favorite games.

“We know some parents have game nights at home with their children and we just want to expand on that,” Christenson said. “Our students really enjoy playing different games — and it’s fun.”

Refreshments (popcorn and drinks) are free.

Students from OES will not be admitted unless accompanied by someone 18 years old or older. Also, the BMS gym will be closed.
