Texas SandFest 2022 is just around the corner.

The annual sand sculpting event that draws thousands of folks to the beach in Port Aransas is set for Friday through Sunday, April 8 through 10.

Everyone can get involved with the festival by becoming volunteers during the three-day festival.

Scores of volunteers are needed for an event the magnitude of SandFest. Help is needed before, during and after the festival.

Before the event, volunteers help get the site set up and ready for both the sculptors and visitors.

These volunteer positions require physical labor for tasks that include hauling wooden forms, setting trash cans in place, marking the parking areas, assisting the sculptors and a variety of other tasks.

During the event a multitude of volunteer positions will need to be filled. Volunteers will be needed as barbacks, beverage tickets sellers, golf cart shuttle drivers, merchandise tent sales, help in the music, beer or food court tents, wristband sales and more.

After the event, more volunteers will be needed to remove SandFest items from the beach and get them ready for storage and general clean up.

Volunteers will get free T-shirts, free admission into the festival and free food and beverages.

For more information or to volunteer, go to the Texas SandFest website, www.texassandfest.org, and click on the “Get Involved” tab.

Fill out the information, and the volunteer coordinator will contact you prior to SandFest.
