The dates of the claims assistance workshops hosted by the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association reported in the March 29 issue of the South Jetty were switched due to incorrect information given in a press release from TWIA.
The next workshop in Port Aransas is set for Thursday, April 12, from 4:30 to 8 p.m., at the Community Center, 408 N. Alister St.
A meeting is scheduled in Rockport on Wednesday, April 11, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. The Rockport meeting will be held at the Woman’s Club of Aransas County, 1104 Concho St.
The workshops will offer in-person assistance to policyholders affected by the hurricane and local insurance agents who have TWIA policyholder clients.
Folks who attend will be able to speak directly with claims managers about claim timelines, payments, coverages and endorsements, the increased cost of construction and more.
