Tourist workshops slated March 28, 29

If you’ve ever been annoyed by how certain visitors behave in Port Aransas, this might be a meeting you’ll want to attend.

The community has two more opportunities for attending workshops aimed at educating Port Aransas visitors about being respectful and keeping the town clean.

They’re the last sessions in the Port Aransas Tourism Bureau & Chamber of Commerce’s “destination stewardship” project.

The sessions will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 28, and 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29.

Both events will be held at the Port Aransas ISD Administration Building at 100 S. Station St.

The information provided at both workshops will be the same.

The sessions “will cover more concrete designs on the ‘Respect Our Island Home’ concept, communications plans, a visioning workshop focused on how to carry this messaging into the community and more,” said an emailed message to community members from Brett Stawar.

Stawar is the president and CEO of the Port Aransas Tourism Bureau & Chamber of Commerce.
