Work off all those Christmas goodies with a free, guided beach walk Friday, Dec. 28.
Guide Shirley Fischer will teach participants facts about shells, wildlife and even trash that is found on the Port Aransas beach.
Meet under the purple flag near Horace Caldwell Pier at 9 a.m. to join in.
Beach walkers should dress for the occasion and bring a container for any treasures found.
Each month the City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department offers the walks for visitors and residents alike.
The walks are held on the fourth Friday of each month.
