The smoke you’re smelling this morning is from a fire in Kenedy County, according to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi.
“There are no fires in our area that we can see on our satellite,” said Liz Sommerville, a meteorologist with the NWS in Corpus Christi.
The smoke from the Kenedy County fire, about 128 miles from Port Aransas, is being carried this way by a southerly wind, Sommerville said.
“We’re all congested here,” she said, laughing.
