Small turbines OK

I have learned there is a new type of wind power that consists of tiny little rotors on one pole. They generate just as much power as the turbines with large blades and can be enclosed in wire cages to protect wildlife. They do not vibrate like the large-bladed windmills and would not catch fire as do the large bladed turbines in high winds, such as hurricanes. (This has already happened in Europe in winds of 100 miles per hour.)

I would be in favor of this new type of wind power. Also, I favor solar power for home and business heating in sunny parts of the country. There is a large shopping mall in San Antonio that is entirely solar powered, and I have a solar-powered driveway gate opener and a solar air conditioner on my horse trailer.

In addition, there is currently great need for oil, gasoline, coal and gas. Some parts of the country need oil for heating; coal is still the cheapest form of energy; gas is another good way of heating and cooking; and gasoline and diesel are still the major fuel for automobiles, boats and heavy machinery.

Finally, wind and solar are still the most expensive forms of energy. One of their major attributes is less pollution. By the way, China and India are the world’s worst polluters.
