Community members are invited to take part in a short-but-spirited send-off event for the Port Aransas High School boys’ cross-country team as the students head off to the state meet in Round Rock on the morning of Thursday, Nov. 3.
To cheer the boys on as the team bus leaves, participants will line up “by 8:05 a.m.” on the Station Street sidewalk in front of H.G. Olsen Elementary School, the Port Aransas ISD administration building and PAHS, said a flyer issued by the school district.
The meet will be at Round Rock’s Old Settlers Park on Friday, Nov 4.
On the PAHS team are Will Carlough, Franklin Ploeg, Gunner Belcher, Devin Guevara, Austin Risch, Tyler Hofhiens and Ronald Herndon.
This is the 14th straight year that PAHS has earned a berth in the state cross-country meet.
