Project Graduation selling raffle tickets for food, fishing, fun

Feeling the need to go fishing, put up a visitor in Port Aransas, barbecue or beautify with stained glass? Project Graduation organizers have a solution for you. A raffle has been put together that addresses these needs and will raise more money for the after-graduation party.

Five chances to win are included in each ticket. The drawing will include an 8-hour fishing trip for two aboard the Scat Cat or Wharf Cat (two packages will be drawn), a two-night stay for up to four people at Plantation Suites valid through Dec. 31, 2007, a 13-inch by 22-inch stained glass window hanging and a heavy gauge steel hand-made barbecue pit.

Tickets cost $5 each or five for $20. Tickets may be purchased at Gratitude, 361 N. Station St., from Dee Burgess at the Bill Ellis Memorial Library, 710 Ave. A, by mailing a check to Project Graduation, P.O. Box 543, Port Aransas, TX 78373, or by calling Burgess at 749-2005 or Susan Lawson at (361) 332-1697.

The drawing will be held Monday, April 30, at a Project Graduation meeting at the PAISD Administrative Bldg., 100 S. Station St. Winners need not be present to win.

Project Graduation is a lock-in party designed to promote chemical-free entertainment for graduating seniors, their guests and juniors. The lock-in begins after graduation exercises June 1 and lasts until 5 a.m. The evening includes games, music, refreshments, door prizes and gifts.
