Class of 2016, 2017 parents to needed to take over

The Class of 2016 and 2017 needs your help.

Port Aransas High School needs parents from the current senior and junior class to help take over Project Graduation.

Project Graduation is an all-night, substance-free party the night of graduation where Port Aransas High School seniors and juniors are invited to celebrate.

The Project Graduation event receives no funding from the Port Aransas ISD and is supported by parents, community members, local businesses and the Port Aransas Kiwanis Club.

According to PAHS principal Scott McNeely, if no one comes forward to help take over Project Graduation by Tuesday, Oct. 1, the leftover funds from last year’s event will be dissolved.

The event usually features various activities like a DJ, games, crafts, food, as well as prizes and cash. Adult volunteers will chaperone this event.

For more information about how you can volunteer for Project Graduation, contact

McNeely at 749-1206 or Associate Superintendent Sharon McKinney at 749-1200.
