Join the Parrot Heads of Port Aransas for a night of dinner, dancing, prizes and fun on Saturday, March 1, for the third annual Spring Phling.
The party begins at 5:30 p.m. at Fred Rhodes Memorial Pavilion at Roberts Point Park with an all-you-can-eat dinner.
From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. enjoy mesquite-smoked pulled pork, “South of the Border” pinto beans, “Secret Recipe” potato salad, cole slaw, bread and all the trimmings.
Musical entertainment by the Port A Rockers begins at 6:30 p.m. and goes until 9 p.m.
The group plays classic rock and roll from the 50s and 60s.
In addition to the food and musical entertainment, a winner-takes-all grand prize drawing, a limbo contest, free setups and water, a crafts boutique, as well as smaller drawings will take place at the event.
The grand prize “Booze and Bucks” drawing includes a Yeti cooler stocked with an ample supply of premium liquor provided by WB Liquor, $500 cash donated by the Parrot Heads of Port Aransas and a guided hog hunt for up to four people donated by Bernsen Coastal Builders. Winner need not be present to win the drawing.
Tickets to the event are $25 each or two for $45. Tickets for the “Booze and Bucks” drawing are $25. A “Super Combo” ticket package is $65, which includes two tickets to the event and one “Booze and Bucks” drawing ticket.
Another ticket purchasing choice is the “Five for $100” package, which is any five tickets for $100, a combination of event and drawing tickets.

Parrot Heads of Port Aransas has the slogan “Party With A Purpose.” PHoPA has more than 120 members in the Port Aransas area.
PHoPA is a philanthropic organization with two primary fundraisers per year, Spring Phling and Wings Over Port A in the fall. All money raised goes back to the Port Aransas community to help support local needs and charities.
Last year PHoPA raised more than $20,000 to give back to the community.
