All tables and tickets are sold out for an evening of fellowship, live music, dining and auctions at the Port Aransas Preservation and Historical Association’s 2022 Fundraising Gala on Saturday, May 7.
The “El Mar Rancho” gala will benefit the Port Aransas Museum and Farley Boat Works.
The event begins at 6 p.m. in the Courtyard at the Tarpon Inn, 200 E. Cotter Ave.
The gala is a fundraiser for PAPHA to benefit the museum and the Farley Boat Works.
The theme, “El Mar Rancho,” celebrates the first ranch settled on Mustang Island in 1853 by Robert Ainsworth Mercer and later joined by his family, his wife Agnes and boys John and Edward (Ned).
The gala will be old-ranch themed, including wild game, a chuck wagon, trick roping and a western swing band.
The gala celebration will kick off on Friday, May 6, at the Farley Boat Works at 6 p.m.
Gala attendees and the public are invited to see the progress of the Maritime Museum building while enjoying the event. Attendees can partake in food, drinks, live music, silent auctions and fellowship.
The boat works is located at 716 W. Ave. C.
