PAHS to compete on TV

Port Aransas High School students will compete with other students on TV soon to see who can solve the most brain teasers.

The students will be playing a Jeopardy-like trivia game called Challenge! on KEDT on Thursday, Jan. 5.

PAHS will be up against Corpus Christi’s Veterans Memorial High School when the show airs at 7 p.m.

Students on the PAHS team are Aubree Boyer, Claire Pitre, Grant Shoemaker, Dylan Abernathy and Ellis Burrill.

Three students play on each team during each game. Boyer, Pitre and Shoemaker are to play in the game against Veterans Memorial. Abernathy and Burrill are on reserve to play in future games.

Challenge! airs each Thursday and repeats at 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

In addition to Port Aransas, area high schools taking part this season include London, King, Carroll, Miller, Academy, Flour Bluff, Tuloso-Midway, Victoria East, Ray, John Paul II, Sinton, Ingleside, A.C. Jones, Veterans Memorial, Kaufer, Victoria West, Banquete, Gregory-Portland Rockport-Fulton, Calallen and Moody.
