PAHS runners qualify for regional meet

These are some speedy students.

Several Port Aransas High School athletes qualified for regional track competition by placing well at the area meet in La Villa on Wednesday, April 13.

The results:

Elsa Temples, 3rd, 3,200 meter run, 13:33.35, regional qualifier;

Will Carlough, 4th, 3,200 meter run, 11:31.35, regional qualifier;

Devin Guevara, 6th, 3,200 meter run, 12:35.81;

Avica Burrilll, 3rd, triple jump, 31’9.5”, regional qualifier;

Gunner Belcher, 6th, 800 meter run, 2:09.68;

Burrill, 1st, 100 meter hurdles, 17.52, regional qualifier;

Hannah Ramsden, 2nd, 100 meter hurdles, 18.39, regional qualifier;

Burrill, 1st, 300 meter hurdles, 53.30, regional qualifier;

Temples, 3rd, 1,600 meter run, 6:06.98, regional qualifier;

Belcher, 5th, 1,600 meter run, 5:20.83;

Claire Pitre, Ellis Burrill, Hannah Ramsden, Avica Burrill, 3rd, 4X400 meter relay, 4:45.38, regional qualifiers.

The regional meet will be Friday and Saturday, April 29 and 30, at Texas A&M University Kingsville.
