Outdoor concert set May 27

A free outdoor concert is set for Friday, May 27, at the Patsy Jones Amphitheater in Roberts Point Park.

The Wayward Gypsies will take the stage beginning at 7 p.m. for the Sunset Sounds concert.

The acoustic duo will perform folk, bluegrass and honky-tonk country music.

Gather together family and friends and enjoy an evening of live music beside the ship channel as the sun goes down.

Be sure to pack a cooler full of refreshments and spread out on the lawn in front of the stage.

Bring lawn chairs or blankets or even drive golf carts up to the site to watch the show.

There’s a playground within sight of the seating area for the kids. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome to the show too.

The concert was originally set for Friday, May 13, but there was another event scheduled at the park so it was postponed.

The City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department sponsors the free monthly concerts the second Friday of each month, March through October.
