Ken Dunton of Port Aransas, left, and his daughter, Karli Dunton pause with a group of fellow cyclists on a road about 30 miles south of LaGrange during the BP MS 150 on April 16. Karli was raised in Port Aransas and now lives in Houston. About 13,000 cyclists took part in the ride of more than 150 miles from Houston to Austin April 16 and 17. The event was held to pump up awareness of multiple sclerosis and raise money to fight the disease. The Duntons together raised nearly $1,000 for MS, thanks to the generosity of Port Aransans. The event was sponsored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Ken rode in the event alone in 2006 and 2007 and with Port Aransan Mike Firestone in 2008.
