Work is practically finished now on a new floating dock (it’s the empty one that branches off the breakwater) at Dennis Dreyer Municipal Marina. Only some work on a handrail still needs to be finished, according to Harbor Master Jeff Logue. A walkway was constructed along the breakwater to make the dock accessible. Logue said he is hoping to see the dock open for business by early May. Logue said he’s got a list of customers waiting for the dock to open. The dock contains more than 25 slips that range in size from 30 to 60 feet in length. The $604,587.12 dock and associated construction was built by Galva Foam Marine Industries of Missouri and Island Construction of Port Aransas.
