Meet health pros at fair




Health professionals will be on hand with information on traditional and nontraditional health services available in the Coastal Bend at the Community Center, 408 N. Alister St., on Saturday, Jan. 19.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 13 vendors from various healthrelated fields, including IsAgenix, Advocare, Massage Works, the Coastal Bend Blood Center’s bloodmobile, Walgreen’s Pharmacy, Carl Levy (healer), Diamante Azul (health spa), Coastal Home Healthcare, Knot Shots (syringe recycling), the American Diabetes association, Positive Energy (massage therapist), Dr. Bruce Russell’s office, Dr. Steve Canion (chiropractor) and possibly the Juvenile Diabetes Association will be handing out information and talking to folks.

Bring any usable walkers wheelchairs, crutches, canes, etc. for the City of Port Aransas to donate to those who can’t afford to purchase these items. Plastic pill bottles also will be recycled and old medications disposed of properly.

This is the third year for the health fair, and Secich said more than 400 people came through the doors at the fair last year.

The health fair is a joint effort by the City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department and KPAB.
