Port Aransas High School’s Marlins bounced back from a 4-14 loss to Charlotte with an 8-5 win over Corpus Christi Academy on Tuesday, April 3.
The Marlins took the win into a double header in Cuero on Tuesday, April 10.
“We finally played an entire game with desire and focus,” said Coach Brian Flack of the CCA game.
He commended Charley Walker and Christian Collins for “great pitching”.
The game ended on a diving catch by centerfielder Cody Collins.
Walker pitched five innings and Christian Collins pitched for two.

The Charlotte game, played on the road Friday, March 30, saw the Marlins run hot and cold.. game and did not capitalize,” Flack said.
Pitchers had trouble with control, and “it seemed that we made errors at the wrong time,” Flack added.
“We played good at times, and not well at all the other times,” he said.
