A
strong defense went a long way toward helping the Port Aransas seventh grade
Marlins team beat Falls City, 27-16, on Monday, Nov. 26.
“Defensively, we have made big improvements,” said Steve Reaves, coach of the
Marlins. The team also has become much more comfortable with handling pressure,
he said.
However, Reaves added, “We need to get more aggressive. We were a little
tentative going for loose balls and rebounding.” The team also needs to do a
better job at setting up and running the offense, he said. SCORING BY
