Library to celebrate National Unicorn Day

The William R. “Bill” Ellis Memorial Library will celebrate National Unicorn Day on Saturday. April 9.

An event to honor the horned-mythical creature will begin at 10 a.m.

Kids are invited to story and craft time.

Annette Anderson will read “Unicorn Day” by Diana Murray and illustrated by Luke Flowers.

“It is a very colorful book with a wonderful message about inclusion and friends,” said Anderson, library clerk.

Following the story time participants will paint unicorns.

The library is located at 700 W. Ave. A.

It is open Tuesday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The library is closed on Sunday and Monday.
