The Lady Marlins put down Corpus Christi College Prep High School, 11-1, on the Port Aransas diamond on Wednesday, April 13. The win moves the Ladies’ district record to 7-2 and put them in a three-way tie for first place in District 32-A.
Savannah Ortiz struck out all three batters in the first inning; Bakar Sackschewsky finished the game with nine strikeouts in four innings.
Tori Bradley and Morgan Milligan covered the field, picking up the three outs Sackschewsky didn’t account for .
Bradley also led the offense, going one for two at the plate and scoring one run. Devan Murray was one for three and a run, as was Jessie Craft.
The Lady Marlins were scheduled for their final regular season game, against Bruni, on Tuesday, April 19. No playoff schedule has been determined, coach Steve Reaves said.
