Kids are invited to an Easter egg hunt, games and more on Saturday, March 23, at Roberts Point Park.

The City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the annual Spring Eggstravaganza from 3 to 5 p.m.

One of the highlights of the afternoon will be an egg hunt for kids 10 and under.

Kids should bring their own baskets to collect all the eggs that will be hidden on the lawn at the park.

For the hunt, kids will be divided into age 0 to 3, 4 to 6, 7 to 8 and 9 to 10 year-old divisions. Each age group will have hundreds of eggs to collect.

Organizers said the egg hunt will begin promptly at 3:15 p.m. They said the kids move fast, so folks should be on time.

Parks and rec also has said the Easter Bunny will be on hand to interact with the kids. Parents are reminded to bring their cameras and cell phones to take photos of their kids with the holiday hare.

Other activities planned include, lawn games, an egg toss, sack races and a treat walk. This year organizers have planned a trackless train ride for the kids. The train has multi-colored cars and an engine that will take kids on a ride around the park.

The annual Easter event is free.
