A public health fair will be held at the Port Aransas Civic Center on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The fair is being sponsored by Nueces County Commissioner Brent Chesney, Port Aransas ISD and the South Coastal Area Health Education Center (AHEC).
Free health screenings will be available at the fair including blood pressure, blood glucose, hearing, height, weight and body mass index (BMI). School physicals, which are required for students at PAISD who participate in athletics, will also be available for free.
Various vendors will also have information and education on diet and nutrition, exercise, mental health, disease management and more.
Flu shots will also be available.
