Only four performances remain for “Grumpy Old Men the Musical,” on stage at the Port Aransas Community Theatre.
The show is a stage adaptation of the 1993 movie by the same name starring Walter Matthau, Jack Lemmon and Ann Margaret.
The long-time feud of the neighbors, Max and John, is energized by their shared affection for their new neighbor across the street, the beautiful, eccentric and charming Ariel, said a press release from the PACT.
“They face-off as romantic rivals until their hilarious shenanigans finally bring about a resolution to their long-standing differences,” it said. “The musical captures the lovably crotchety characters through twinkling humor, great songs and the affectionate depiction of a small town that feels like home to everyone.”
“Grumpy Old Men the Musical” will run Thursday through Sunday, May 5 through 8. Show times are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $22 per person for general admission seating. They can be purchased online at https:// www.portaransascommunitytheatre.com.
Group discounts are available for parties of 10 or more. Tickets at the group rate are $20 per person. Call the box office at (361) 749-6036 for more information or to purchase tickets.
The show’s sponsor is Fisherman’s Wharf. Raffles will take place during each performance for the chance to win fishing trips donated by the dock.
