The Port Aransas High School Lady Marlins freshmen overcame early foul problems to defeat the Orange Grove Lady Bulldogs, 41-28, on Dec. 4.
Five Lady Marlin players had three fouls apiece by halftime. “And with only having seven girls, that is not good,” said Karen Hall, coach of the Lady Marlin freshmen.
“We went in at half and talked about how not to foul and did a lot better job in the second half,” Hall said. “These freshmen are very good and are improving every day.”
Tarryn Murray scored a monster 33 points for the Lady Marlins, with Katie Samudio scoring the other eight.
