Youth production opens at PACT Thursday

One of Disney’s hit Broadway musicals will be on stage at the Port Aransas Community Theatre Thursday through Sunday, Feb. 17 through 20.

Port Aransas ISD students in 3rd through 8th grade in partnership with the PACT will present “Disney’s Frozen Jr.” The musical is a stage adaptation of the 2013 Disney film and the 2018 Broadway adaption.

The production is adapted for young performers and includes the well-known “Frozen” songs “Love is an Open Door,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman,” “Let it Go” and new songs from the Broadway production.

Show times are Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.

Join Anna, Elsa and all your favorite characters as they embark on an ice-filled journey of self-discovery, camaraderie and the real meaning of true love.

Starring are Callen Belcher as young Elsa, Elizabeth Brown as middle Elsa, Gavin Colglazier and Evie Fall as Elsa, Leanna Lack as young Anna, Chloe Williams as middle Anna, Caitlyn Boyer and Halle Fish as Anna, Eli Derkits as Kristoff, Ori O’Mary as Olaf, Ryan Walker as Hans, Troi Lynn Lancaster as Sven, Adriel Jimenez as Oaken, Tyler Hofhiens as Weselton, Emma Hofhiens as Pabbie, Michaela Villagomez as Bulda, Sky McGrady as King Agnarr, Lexi Doty as Queen Iduna; Skylar Estes as Bishop, Holly Henson, Ruby Hines, Payton Tippie, Michaela Villagomez and Hattie Young as housekeepers; Lucas Alexander as Butler and Steward, Emma Hofhiens as Handmaiden, Macie Axtell and Raeleigh Ruiz as cooks and Lucas Alexander as guard.

Starring in the Snow Chorus are Alana Brown, Skylar Dulaney, Sage Forbes, Ella McDonald, Maddie McLaughlin, Sloan Scaff, Lux-e Schultz, Kirra Sohl and Ashlyn Wooldridge.

The Townspeople are Holly Henson, Ruby Hines, Adriel Jimenez, Raeleigh Ruiz, Payton Tippie and Hattie Young.

Starring as the Hidden Folks are Callen Belcher, Elizabeth Brown, Lexi Doty, Skyler Estes, Sky McGrady are Chloe Williams.

Oaken’s Family are played by Alana Brown, Skylar Dulaney, Sage Forbes, Ella McDonald, Maddie McLaughlin, Sloan Scaff, Lux-e Schultz, Kirra Sohl and Ashlyn Wooldridge.

The Summer Chorus is made up of Elizabeth Brown, Holly Henson, Ruby Hines, Leanna Lack, Raeleigh Ruiz, Payton Tippie, Chloe Williams and Hattie Young.

Stage hands are Kimberly Symonds, David Baird and Dylan Axtell.

Melanie Johnson directs the production, joined by musical director Amanda Tipps and technical director Ken Yarbrough.

The stage manager is Kerri Alexander with Selena Esensee as choreographer, Angie Axtell managing costumes and props, set designers Ray Dillahunty and Yarbrough and Jacob Bowler in the tech booth.
