Wendy Willey, 7, takes a picture of her Dad, Leslie Willey Jr., as an offshore drilling platform he helped build at Gulf Marine Fabricators heads for the gulf. The platform turned heads on Wednesday morning, July 14, 1993, as it made its way out of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel bound for the Gulf of Mexico. The Willeys found a spot at Roberts Point Park to commit the moment to film for the family album. This photo was originally published in the July 15, 1993 edition of the South Jetty.
