Cross country team finishes highest of 2A schools at meet

The Port Aransas High School cross country team competed in the Carroll High School meet in Corpus Christi on Saturday, Sept. 5

“We still have to learn how to race, but that will come with experience,” coach Steve Reaves said. “I am very pleased with the progress we are making.”

The varsity and JV boys’ team ran 2.5 miles. The varsity and JV girls’ team ran 2.1 miles.

PAHS was the highest finishing Class 2A school.

Varsity Marlin John Zuniga finished in first place in the varsity race.

“I am pleased with how we ran,” Reaves said. “I know that we will continue to get better each time out.”

The teams’ next meet will be on Saturday, Sept. 12 in San Antonio.
