Port Aransas folks who have confidential documents to dispose of can get them shredded at no cost on Wednesday, April 27.
The drive-thru event is set from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Civic Center parking lot, located at the corner of Cut-off Road and Avenue A.
Participants will drive up and open their trunks, and the volunteer team will take care of the rest.
What can’t be brought for shredding? Non-paper materials such as metal, X-rays, batteries, plastics, binders with metal and binder clips cannot be accepted.
All cardboard boxes will be recycled.
“The Port Aransas Tourism Bureau and Chamber of Commerce hosts shred events to support our community and businesses. After tax season is the perfect time, “said Brett Stawar, president and CEO of the tourism bureau.
Shred Day is provided free and is co-sponsored by the tourism bureau and Bluewater Texas Terminals.
