Surfers feasted on shapely waves on the south side of Horace Caldwell Pier on a recent day. Port Aransas resident Meagan Callaway, above, was among those hitting the surf. She was riding a surfboard that was made by her boyfriend, Danny Good of Port Aransas. It was her first time to take the board into the surf, and it performed well, she said.
