The Brundrett Middle School girls’ basketball teams notched some nice victories over Yorktown on Monday, Nov. 28.

The seventh-grade Lady Marlins beat their opponents, 24-16.

The eighth-grade Port A girls won, 25-12.

Both games were played in Port Aransas.

“So proud of how hard the girls played today, especially coming back from a full week off for the holidays,” Coach Javier Mendoza said just after the games wrapped up.

“(Players) showed rust but were able to just hang in there and work themselves to leads in each game,” Mendoza said. “We had just this morning’s practice before tonight’s game.”
