Photography will be the focus of the May exhibition at the Port Aransas Art Center.
A Sight to Behold will open at the First Friday reception on Friday, May 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
At the reception, enjoy an evening of fellowship, live music and light refreshments while viewing the artwork in the gallery.
Photography of varying subjects will be on display through the end of May. Member artists will display their photos of nature, landscapes, seascapes, people and other scenes.
“This is a new exhibition with photographers of varying styles and experiences who will whisk viewers away with their compelling images,” said a press release from the art center.
All art center member artists are invited to showcase their works.
Visitors also are invited to the Weekend Wine-Down each Friday and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. to enjoy a glass of wine while strolling through the art center gallery.
Stop by the art center anytime during regular hours to view the gallery artwork and to shop in the gallery gift shop.
The Port Aransas Tourism Bureau and Chamber of Commerce is the sponsor for May.
The art center, located at 104 N. Alister St., is open Monday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is closed on Sunday.
The art center was formed in 1995. More than 225 member artists display their works in the gallery and gift shop.
